Authenticity Program
Lintech Counterfeit Mitigation Began but Doesn’t End with CAPP
Whenever a part is sourced from Lintech Components that is not completely traceable back to its manufacturer, a discussion about counterfeit risk mitigation strategies is definitely in order. As a leader in this area we can help guide you to the appropriate level of inspection or testing or (when already specified) help ensure that all your requirements are met. Not only can Lintech comply with AS6081 and all major industry standards but we also offer multi-tiered in-house testing.
Lintech’s Component Authenticity Protection Program (CAPP) was the industry’s first standardized proprietary inspection and testing process for non-traceable parts. While many customers now require compliance to one of the more widely-accepted standards, CAPP remains an integral element of our overall efforts to mitigate the risks associated with counterfeit and substandard electronics.
All incoming and outgoing inspection and testing is performed by AS6081 trained inspectors per our component authenticity protection program. Within CAPP there are two levels of screening documented by either a Component Authenticity Verification Report (CAVR), which comes standard with all applicable orders, or the more comprehensive Component Authenticity Inspection Report (CAIR) for screening of electronic components.
