It's not always black and white in our industry. The exact parts specified for a particular design are not inevitably readily available—at least not a palatable price. That’s when a sophisticated, full service sourcing partner like Lintech Components can become very valuable.
Lintech can help you identify a potential substitute and document that part’s ability to meet higher level specs than indicated on the manufacturer’s documentation via upscreen testing. An affiliated, ISO 17025 certified laboratory can perform precise parametric electrical testing to enable the substitution of a device that has demonstrated the ability to outperform manufacturer specs in terms of speed, temperature tolerance, etcetera. We can also offer upscreening to reclassify COTS parts to industrial grade or MilSpec parts for use in a specific application.
